DesktopEnvironments
Desktop environments are integrated software collections that provide a complete graphical user interface for interacting with a computer. They combine components such as a window manager, a file manager, panels or a dock, menus, a desktop shell, and a settings system, often including a suite of core applications and tools. Together they offer a unified look and feel, a consistent user experience, and extensive configuration options for appearance, behavior, and accessibility. Desktop environments run on top of a display server (such as X11 or Wayland) and coordinate with a window manager, which may be implemented as part of the environment or as a separate component. Examples of desktop environments include GNOME, KDE Plasma, Xfce, LXQt, MATE, Cinnamon, Pantheon, and Enlightenment. GNOME
