DDPtermeissä is a Finnish descriptive term used in logistics and trade discussions to refer to the Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) incoterm as applied in contracts. The expression combines the abbreviation DDP with the Finnish locative plural form termeissä, literally “in terms,” and functions as shorthand in informal or analytic writing rather than a formal clause.

In practice, DDPtermeissä highlights that under DDP the seller bears most obligations: arranging and paying for transport to the named destination, handling export clearances, arranging import clearance where required, and paying all duties, taxes, and other import charges. The risk transfers to the buyer once the goods are delivered to the named place of destination and made available for unloading. The buyer’s primary obligation is to take delivery as specified, unless the contract adds duties such as unloading. The term is commonly used in Finnish training materials, procurement discussions, and introductory explanations of international sales terms; it is not a legally binding term in itself.

Common considerations include ensuring the named place of destination is accurately specified, clarifying responsibility for insurance, and recognizing potential differences in national practice. Parties should contractually specify responsibilities for import clearance, insurance coverage, and any port handling charges to avoid disputes.
