DDP commonly refers to several distinct terms in different fields. In international trade, Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) is one of the Incoterms. Under DDP, the seller bears most obligations and risks, arranging and paying for the transportation of the goods to a named destination, handling export clearance, and paying all duties, taxes, and customs duties required for import. The seller also covers inland transit to the named place of destination. The risk transfers to the buyer when the goods are placed at the buyer’s disposal at the named destination, meaning the buyer is responsible only after delivery is completed.
