CuPys

CuPys are a fictional species originating from the planet Xylos. They are characterized by their small size, averaging around 0.5 meters in height, and their distinctive metallic blue exoskeleton. This exoskeleton provides them with a natural defense against environmental hazards and predators. CuPys possess four limbs, two used for locomotion and two for manipulation, each ending in three prehensile digits. Their heads are relatively large for their body size, featuring two large, multifaceted eyes that grant them a wide field of vision and the ability to perceive a broad spectrum of light. They communicate primarily through a series of complex clicks and whistles, though they are also capable of rudimentary telepathic projection for conveying basic emotions and intentions.

The Xylosian environment, where CuPys evolved, is known for its low gravity and high atmospheric pressure. This has led to the CuPys' lightweight skeletal structure and efficient respiratory system. They are omnivorous, subsisting on a diet of bioluminescent fungi and small, subterranean invertebrates found on Xylos. CuPy society is highly communal, with individuals living in interconnected subterranean dwellings. They exhibit a strong collective consciousness, prioritizing the well-being of the group over individual needs. Their technological development is focused on bio-engineering and sustainable energy, with little emphasis on weaponry or rapid expansion. Their social structure is hierarchical, led by elder CuPys who have accumulated the most knowledge and experience.
