Cpllä

Cpllä is a constructed language (conlang) created by linguist Mira K. in the early 2010s for worldbuilding and linguistic experimentation. It is designed to explore an agglutinative, case-rich system with flexible syntax while maintaining relatively approachable pronunciation.

Phonology and writing: The language has six vowels (a, e, i, o, u, ä) and about fourteen consonants, including p, t, k, b, d, g, f, s, ʃ, m, n, l, r, y, w. The diacritic ä marks a fronted vowel [æ]. Cpllä is written with a Latin-based alphabet augmented by ä, and stress typically falls on the penultimate syllable.

Grammar: Cpllä uses SOV order with nominative-accusative alignment. Nouns inflect for number and case; a small set of postposed case particles marks subject, object, and indirect object. Verbs bear affixes for aspect and mood; tense is often expressed by auxiliaries or particles. Adjectives occur before nouns and agree in number; article usage is optional. The language supports limited noun incorporation and allows some flexibility in word order due to its inflectional system.

Status and usage: Cpllä has a small but active community of enthusiasts who publish grammar sketches, dictionaries, and learning tools. It is primarily used for creative writing, worldbuilding, and tabletop role-playing contexts, rather than as a daily means of communication. Resources include a concise grammar, a bilingual dictionary, and online tutorials.
