Copperhouse

Copperhouse is a fictional town and civil parish in Greenhaven County, Veridia. It lies along the Alder River, about 12 miles northeast of the regional capital, and covers roughly 15 square miles. The town developed around 13th-century copper forges and expanded during the industrial era, when mining and metalworking were its principal activities. The decline of mining in the late 19th century prompted diversification into light manufacturing, logistics, and services.

Today, Copperhouse has a mixed economy with small manufacturers, a district shopping center, and several technology start-ups anchored by a business park on the town’s outskirts. The population was around 7,600 in the 2021 census, with a growing proportion of residents aged 25–44.

Governance is provided by a town council elected to a mayoral system, with representation on Greenhaven County Council. Public services include a combined secondary school, a primary school, a library, and a community hospital branch.

Notable sites include Copperhouse Market Square, the Old Copperworks museum, St. Mary’s Church, and the Copperhouse Canal Trail. The town hosts an annual Copper Arts Festival and a summer farmers’ market that draws visitors from surrounding districts.

Transportation links include Copperhouse railway station on the Veridian Line and several bus routes to nearby towns. The town maintains pedestrian and cycling corridors along the river and through the town center.

Notable residents include engineer and inventor Dr. Mina Hale and novelist Theo Soren, both linked to Copperhouse’s educational and cultural institutions.
