Chimantá
Chimantá is a remote tabletop mountain, or tepui, located in the Guiana Highlands of Venezuela. It is part of the Chimantá Massif, a vast complex of interconnected tepuis. This particular tepui is known for its extreme isolation and unique biodiversity, making it a subject of significant scientific interest. Its summit is a relatively flat expanse, often shrouded in mist due to its high elevation, which contributes to a cool and humid climate. The sheer cliffs that define the tepui's sides are a formidable natural barrier, isolating its ecosystem from the surrounding lowlands.
The flora and fauna found on Chimantá are highly endemic, meaning many species are found nowhere else
