Cheklan is a fictional nation-state in the highlands of the northern continent of Aeralia. It is a landlocked country bordered by Sola to the west, Drayra to the east, and the Myrrh Mountains to the north. The capital and largest city is Valinor.

Geography features include level plateaus, dense pine forests, and fertile river valleys. The Linor River traverses the country from north to south, supporting agriculture and small hydroelectric installations. The climate is temperate with cold winters and warm summers.

Cheklan traces its modern form to medieval lordships that coalesced into a unified realm around the 16th century. It endured periodic conflicts but maintained relative stability. A constitutional framework established in 1994 transformed it into a parliamentary republic.

Tourism focuses on countryside landscapes and cultural heritage. The currency is the chek (CHK). Official language is Cheklanian; minority languages include Solaan and Drayan.

Cheklanian culture emphasizes communal festivals, craftsmanship, and outdoor recreation. Notable crafts include woodworking and pottery. The annual Harvest Day festival marks the beginning of winter. Education is broadly accessible, and literacy rates are high.

Transport links include an expanding rail network and a system of regional roads connecting cities. Valinor hosts the international airport. The energy sector relies on hydroelectric power and biomass.
