Channelaccess
Channelaccess is a software system developed by the U.S. Department of Energy's Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Its primary purpose is to provide a secure and reliable method for remote access to scientific instruments and data. The system was designed to facilitate collaboration among researchers by allowing them to control experiments and retrieve data from facilities located at different institutions, even across the globe.
Channelaccess operates on a client-server model. The server component runs on the instrument or data acquisition
A key feature of Channelaccess is its focus on security. It employs robust authentication and authorization
Over the years, Channelaccess has been adopted by numerous scientific organizations and facilities, particularly in fields
