**CENELEC (Comité Européen de Normalisation Électrotechnique)**

CENELEC, or the Comité Européen de Normalisation Électrotechnique, is a European standards organization responsible for developing and publishing European standards for electrical and electronic equipment. Established in 1973, CENELEC operates under the auspices of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC), which together form the European Standards System.
