Carroñeamiento

Carroñeamiento refers to the practice of feeding on carrion, or the remains of dead animals. This behavior is observed across various species, including mammals, birds, insects, and other organisms, and plays a significant ecological role in nutrient cycling and maintaining balance within ecosystems.

In many carnivorous and omnivorous animals, carroñeamiento is a supplementary food source that helps sustain them when prey is scarce.
