Cardioosuus

Cardioosuus is a Finnish term that broadly refers to the "cardiovascular fitness" or "cardiac endurance" of an individual. It encompasses the ability of the heart, lungs, and blood vessels to supply oxygen to working muscles during sustained physical activity. High cardioosuus means the body is efficient at delivering oxygen and nutrients to the muscles and removing waste products, allowing for longer periods of exercise without fatigue.

Improving cardioosuus is primarily achieved through aerobic exercise. Activities such as running, swimming, cycling, brisk walking, and dancing are excellent for building this type of fitness.
