In logistics, carable items are contrasted with non-carable items such as large furniture or heavy appliances that require trucks or specialized equipment. Carable routing emphasizes curbside or driveway pickup and drop-off, door-to-door service in urban areas, and integration with ride-hailing or gig-delivery platforms. The concept is used to describe practical limits and planning considerations for city-based delivery networks.

Critics note that the term is not standardized and can vary by jurisdiction and company policy; it is more a descriptive guideline than a formal classification. Its value lies in helping planners and service providers assess what can reasonably be transported by car within a given urban context.

Examples: a grocery bag, a laptop, or a small package are generally considered carable; a sofa or a refrigerator is typically not, without disassembly or special arrangements.
