Canarians
Canarians refers to the inhabitants of the Canary Islands, an autonomous community of Spain located in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of northwestern Africa. The Canarian population is diverse, shaped by centuries of historical settlement and migration. Indigenous Guanches, the original inhabitants of the islands, have left a significant cultural and genetic legacy. Over time, the islands were colonized by Castilians, and later, significant populations arrived from other parts of Europe and the Americas. This intermingling has resulted in a distinct Canarian identity and culture.
The Canarian language, while officially Spanish, retains unique vocabulary and pronunciation influenced by its history. Traditional
