CEmärket, commonly spelled CE-mark in English and CE-märket in Swedish, is the conformity marking used for products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA). It signifies that a product complies with the essential health, safety, and environmental protection requirements laid out in EU or EEA harmonized legislation and standards. The mark is not a quality certification or EU endorsement; the mark indicates conformity as assessed by the manufacturer and applicable conformity assessment procedures.
