CENTCOM

The United States Central Command, commonly known as CENTCOM, is one of the eleven unified combatant commands of the United States Department of Defense. It is responsible for military operations in the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia. Established in 1983, CENTCOM's area of responsibility spans 20 countries, encompassing critical regions such as the Arabian Peninsula, the Persian Gulf, and the Horn of Africa.

The primary mission of CENTCOM is to foster stability and security within its vast operational area. This is achieved through a variety of means, including military-to-military engagements, security cooperation activities, and the execution of military operations when necessary.
