CD15Lewis
CD15Lewis is a blood group antigen belonging to the Lewis blood group system. It is a carbohydrate epitope expressed on the surface of certain cells, including red blood cells and white blood cells. The CD15Lewis antigen is a trisaccharide composed of fucose, N-acetylglucosamine, and galactose. It is closely related to the more commonly known CD15 (Lewis x) antigen but differs in the linkage of the terminal fucose residue.
The presence or absence of CD15Lewis on an individual's red blood cells is determined by genetic factors
