Bäddgranulation

Bäddgranulation is a type of pneumococcal infection that affects the lungs, specifically the alveoli. It is characterized by an intense inflammatory response, which leads to the formation of granulomas in the affected lung tissue. The term "bäddgranulation" is derived from the Swedish words for "bed" and "granulation", reflecting the fact that the infection typically occurs in individuals who are bedridden or otherwise debilitated.

Bäddgranulation is most commonly seen in patients who are suffering from underlying health issues, such as pneumonia, tuberculosis, or lung cancer. It can also occur in individuals who are immunocompromised, such as those with HIV/AIDS or taking immunosuppressive therapy.
