Brückenkranen

Brückenkranen, also known as overhead cranes or bridge cranes, are a type of industrial crane. They consist of a parallel pair of girders, often referred to as the bridge, that run on elevated runways. A trolley, which carries the lifting mechanism, travels along the bridge. This arrangement allows the crane to cover a rectangular area within a factory, workshop, or warehouse.

The primary function of a Brückenkran is to lift and move heavy materials. They are commonly found in manufacturing plants, construction sites, steel yards, and shipyards. They can be powered by electricity, which is the most common method, or hydraulic systems.
