Brugmansia

Brugmansia is a small genus of perennial shrubs or small trees in the nightshade family, Solanaceae. Endemic to South America, particularly the Andean regions, the plants are commonly known as angel's trumpet because of their large, pendulous flowers. They are differentiated from the related Datura by their woody habit and downward-facing blossoms.

Plants are woody, evergreen in warm climates, often reaching 3-5 meters or more. Leaves are large, dark

The genus comprises several species, including Brugmansia suaveolens, Brugmansia sanguinea, Brugmansia arborea, and Brugmansia x candida

Brugmansias require warm, frost-free conditions; in temperate regions they are grown as annuals or in pots that
