Bredera

Bredera is a fictional sovereign state in the northern highlands of the continent of Aeloria. It is characterized by rugged mountains, deep forests, and a tradition of local governance. The capital and largest city is Valenport, while several regional capitals administer distinct districts across the country.

Bredera covers about 42,000 square kilometers and features a mix of alpine meadows, river valleys, and coniferous forests. The climate ranges from cool temperate in the highlands to milder conditions in the valleys, with significant rainfall sustaining hydroelectric projects.

The economy relies on forestry, mining, agriculture, and hydroelectric power. Bredera also promotes tourism focused on nature reserves and historic towns. The transport network includes rail, roads, and a regional airport in Valenport; a river port serves inland trade.

Population around 3.2 million. The majority are Brederan ethnic group; languages include Brederan (official) and minority dialects such as Erian. Cultural life centers on regional festivals, folk music, and crafts. Education is publicly funded, with several universities.

Notable sites include the Stoneway Gorge, the Valenport Citadel, and the Blue Lakes National Park.
