Bottlers
Bottlers are manufacturers that take beverages from concentrate or raw ingredients and package them in sealed containers for sale to consumers. They operate filling lines for bottles, cans, and cartons, and oversee labeling, cap sealing, pasteurization or sterilization, and end-line packaging. Bottlers may produce carbonated soft drinks, water, juice, tea, coffee, wine, or beer, depending on capabilities. In many markets, bottling is performed by a network of independent companies under license from brand owners, or by contract packagers that fill products on behalf of beverage producers. Some beverage companies own and operate their own bottling plants, maintaining centralized control over quality and distribution.
