Bottenstabilisering

Bottenstabilisering is a term used in civil engineering and geotechnical engineering to describe methods employed to improve the load-bearing capacity and stability of the ground beneath structures. This process is crucial when the existing soil conditions are inadequate to support the intended construction, leading to potential settlement, instability, or failure.

Various techniques fall under the umbrella of bottenstabilisering. One common method is compaction, which involves increasing the density of the soil by applying mechanical energy. This reduces pore spaces and increases shear strength.
