Bordigismo was a variant of Marxism that emerged in the early 20th century in Italy, particularly within the Trotskyist movement. The term refers to the Amadeo Bordiga, an Italian revolutionary who played a key role in shaping the ideology.

Bordiga, a founding member of the Communist Party of Italy (PCd'I), developed his distinctive Marxist theory in the 1920s. He emphasized the need for a proletarian revolution to overthrow capitalism, a stance that set him apart from other communist parties at the time. Bordigismo stressed the importance of a sweeping, all-encompassing revolution rather than a gradual, reformist approach. He rejected all forms of reformism and gradualism, dismissing social democracy and the trade unions as mere agents of class collaboration.

In the 1930s, Bordiga founded the International Communist Party (PCR), which would become a vehicle for his bordigist ideology. His followers adhered to a factional stance, often engendering tensions with other Marxist groups.
