Bompengesystem refers to a toll collection system, commonly used on roads and highways to manage traffic and fund infrastructure. These systems typically involve designated points where drivers pay a fee to use a particular stretch of road. The implementation and technology vary significantly across different regions and countries.

Historically, bompengesystem relied on manual toll booths where attendants collected payments.
