Blåorange

Blåorange is a compound Swedish term that translates literally to "blue-orange" and is used to describe the visual pairing or juxtaposition of blue and orange hues. As a color concept it highlights the complementary relationship between a cool blue and a warm orange on the color wheel, producing strong visual contrast and perceived vibrancy when placed together.

In art, photography and film grading the blåorange combination is used to create dynamic tension, emphasize subjects, or separate foreground from background through color temperature contrast.
