Blindschroeven
Blindschroeven are a category of fasteners designed to create a threaded hole in a workpiece from one side only. They are used when access to the far side is limited, or when a flush outer surface is required. The most common forms are rivet nuts (nutserts) and threaded inserts. A rivet nut is a hollow sleeve with internal threads that is inserted into a predrilled hole and expanded from the outside to form a secure, threaded bore. A threaded insert provides a durable internal thread in a hole and is installed by pressing, screwing, or snapping into place, depending on the design and material.
Installation typically requires a specialized tool. Rivet-nut tools deform the outer shell to lock the nut
Applications span metal and composite assemblies in industries such as automotive, electronics enclosures, furniture, cabinetry, and
