Blasdüsen

Blasdüsen, or blow nozzles, are devices that produce directed jets of compressed air or other gases to impart a localized airflow. They are used to clean, dry, cool, or convey workpieces in industrial settings. Blasdüsen come in a range of geometries, including round or conical nozzles, flat or slit nozzles (air knives), and larger air-curtain arrangements. The choice of nozzle geometry, orifice size, and operating pressure determines the outlet velocity, flow rate, and the distance at which effective blow-off or drying occurs.

Design and performance: Nozzles are designed to maximize efficiency and minimize noise and energy use. Some incorporate flow-control features, internal swirl for impingement cleaning, or shrouds to prevent personal injury from high-velocity jets. Materials include stainless steel, brass, or durable polymers, chosen for corrosion resistance and operating conditions. Low-noise models and safety nozzles may include built-in silencers or angled discharge.

Applications: Common applications include removing chips, dust, or coolant from machined parts; drying surfaces after washing; cooling hot components; and assisting material handling and packaging by blowing products along conveyors or into vessels. In electronics, automotive, woodworking, and food processing, Blasdüsen are mounted on fixtures, conveyors, or robotic end-effectors.

Safety and maintenance: Use only compressed air at appropriate pressures; never point jets at personnel; use regulators and flow controls; regularly inspect nozzles for wear, clogs, or misalignment; replace worn parts to maintain performance and safety.
