Bilbombsattentat

Bilbombsattentat, or car bomb attack, is a form of violent attack in which an explosive device is placed in or attached to a motor vehicle with the aim of causing destruction, casualties and disruption. The tactic uses the vehicle as a delivery system, permitting the payload to be transported to or near a target and to be detonated to maximize blast effects in a populated area. Attacks may target crowds, government buildings, transportation hubs, or other infrastructure, and can be carried out as suicide operations or with external detonation.
