Bihzad
Bihzad, also transcribed Beḥzād or Behdzād, was a Persian painter and master miniaturist of the late Timurid and early Safavid periods (approximately 1450–ca. 1535). The precise details of his birthplace remain uncertain, but his career is closely tied to the Timurid court at Herat, where he emerged as the leading figure of the Herat school.
