Betongtyper

Betongtyper refers to the various classifications and compositions of concrete used in construction. These types are distinguished by their strength, durability, workability, and intended application. The primary classification is typically based on compressive strength, measured in megapascals (MPa). Common strength classes include C20/25, C25/30, C30/37, and higher.

Beyond strength, concrete can be categorized by its constituent materials and properties. Standard concrete is the most common type, made from cement, aggregates (sand and gravel), and water. High-performance concrete (HPC) is engineered to possess superior durability and strength, often incorporating admixtures like silica fume or fly ash. Lightweight concrete uses expanded clay, shale, or pumice as aggregate, reducing its density and improving thermal insulation. Conversely, heavy concrete employs dense aggregates such as barite or iron ore for radiation shielding.

Self-compacting concrete (SCC) is a highly flowable and cohesive concrete that can spread into place under its own weight, filling formwork without the need for vibration. Shotcrete, or sprayed concrete, is applied pneumatically at high velocity, making it suitable for tunnel linings and slope stabilization. Ready-mix concrete is batched at a central plant and delivered to the construction site in a plastic state, ensuring consistent quality. Understanding these betongtyper is crucial for selecting the appropriate material for specific structural requirements and environmental conditions.
