Balancecapable

Balancecapable is a term used to describe the capacity of a system—biological, mechanical, or digital—to maintain stable equilibrium under perturbations. In biomechanics, it refers to the ability of a person to control the body's center of mass relative to the base of support during standing, walking, and dynamic tasks. In engineering, balancecapable denotes the capacity of a robot, prosthesis, or other device to detect disturbances and adjust posture or motion to prevent falls or failures.
