BPMNnotáció

BPMNnotáció, which stands for Business Process Model and Notation, is a standardized graphical notation for specifying business processes. It provides a common language that is readily understandable by all business stakeholders, including business analysts who create and refine the processes, technical developers responsible for implementing them, and business managers and executives who oversee and manage them. The goal of BPMN is to bridge the gap between business process design and implementation.

The notation consists of a set of graphical elements that represent different aspects of a business process. These elements can be categorized into four main groups: Flow Objects, Connecting Objects, Swimlanes, and Artifacts. Flow Objects include Events (e.g., start, intermediate, end), Activities (e.g., tasks, sub-processes), and Gateways (e.g., exclusive, inclusive, parallel) that control the flow of execution. Connecting Objects, such as Sequence Flows, Message Flows, and Associations, define the order and relationships between Flow Objects. Swimlanes, consisting of Pools and Lanes, visually represent participants or organizational units responsible for carrying out activities. Artifacts, like Data Objects and Groups, provide additional information about the process but do not directly affect its execution.

BPMN is designed to be understood by both technical and non-technical users. Its graphical nature makes it intuitive for business users to follow the flow of a process, while its precise semantics allow for unambiguous interpretation by technical systems. This makes it a powerful tool for process analysis, modeling, and automation. By using BPMN, organizations can improve their understanding of existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and design more efficient and effective future processes. It is widely adopted across industries for its effectiveness in communicating complex process logic in a clear and standardized manner.
