Azimuthdrivare

Azimuthdrivare is a motorized mechanism that provides rotational movement around the azimuth axis, the vertical axis used to aim equipment or sensors horizontally. The device is a key component of many two-axis mounting systems, where it works in tandem with an elevation or pitch axis to point instruments in any direction.

A typical azimuthdrivare consists of a drive motor (such as a DC, servo, or stepper motor), a gearing or reducer for torque multiplication, and a drive train that transfers motion to the azimuth axis.
