Aygeri

Aygeri is a coastal city in the fictional nation of Norelia on the continent of Elaria. It lies in a sheltered bay along the Mist Coast, with the Aygerin River running through its northern districts. The name Aygeri is derived from the river name Aygerin, which in the local language means water bend. The climate is temperate maritime, with mild winters and moderate rainfall.

Historically, Aygeri was founded in the 12th century by maritime merchants and grew as a trading hub linking inland markets to coastal ports. It prospered through medieval and early modern periods, built fortifications, and underwent industrial growth in the 19th and 20th centuries, followed by contemporary urban development.

As of the latest census, Aygeri has about 120,000 residents. The population is ethnically diverse, with communities including Norelian, Arken, and minority groups. The official language is Norelian; English is widely used in business and tourism.
