Avriny

Avriny is a fictional sovereign state in the temperate coastal region of the world of Eldara. It covers about 60,000 square kilometers and has a population of roughly 3.2 million. The capital and largest city is Valmere, located on the Silver Coast.

Geography and climate are varied, featuring low hills, mixed forests, river valleys, and a central plateau. The Serin River flows north to the Silver Sea; the climate is maritime, with mild summers and wet winters.

Avriny traces its origins to a loose federation of duchies in the Middle Ages and united under a constitutional framework in the early modern period. The current parliamentary system was established after reform in the mid-20th century.

The country maintains a unicameral National Assembly with 120 seats, elected by proportional representation. The president serves as head of state in a largely ceremonial role, while the prime minister is head of government. The judiciary is independent, and multiple parties participate in elections.

The economy is mixed, with services accounting for the majority of GDP. Key sectors include manufacturing (textiles and electronics), agriculture (wine, dairy, timber), and tourism. Main export partners include neighboring regions and international markets.

The official language is Avrinyan; minority languages include Silkan and Lorian. The population is ethnically diverse, and the state maintains a secular public sphere. Cultural life centers on regional music, crafts, festivals, and culinary traditions.

Infrastructure features a developed rail network, an international airport, and a coastal port in Valmere. Renewable energy, particularly wind and hydro, contributes to the electricity supply.
