Autotäide
Autotäide, often translated as "car filler" or "body filler," is a putty-like substance used in automotive repair to fill dents, scratches, and imperfections on a vehicle's body panels. It is typically applied after the damaged area has been prepared, which may involve sanding and cleaning. The filler is mixed with a hardener, which initiates a chemical reaction causing it to cure and harden. Once hardened, autotäide can be sanded smooth to create a seamless surface ready for priming and painting. Common ingredients include polyester resins, talc, and other inert materials. Different types of autotäide exist, such as lightweight fillers for minor repairs and heavier-duty fillers for larger imperfections. Proper application and sanding are crucial for achieving a professional finish and ensuring the longevity of the repair. Over-application or improper sanding can lead to uneven surfaces, paint adhesion problems, and visible repair marks. Autotäide is a standard material in autobody shops and is also available for DIY automotive repair projects.
