Autofikcióként

Autofikcióként is a literary genre that blends autobiography and fiction. The term originates from French, combining "auto" (self) and "fiction" (fiction). While the author's life experiences and personal history serve as a foundation, autofikcióként does not aim for strict factual accuracy. Instead, the author manipulates and reinterprets events, characters, and memories for narrative effect.

Key characteristics of autofikcióként include a prominent first-person narrator who shares a strong resemblance to the author. The "I" of the narrative is often presented as the author themselves, blurring the lines between the real person and the literary persona. However, the author explicitly or implicitly signals that the narrative is not a literal account of their life. This can be achieved through overt statements, shifts in tone, or the introduction of clearly fictional elements.

The purpose of autofikcióként can vary. Authors may use it to explore their own identity, process traumatic experiences, reflect on societal issues through a personal lens, or simply to experiment with narrative possibilities.
