Asphyria
Asphyxia is a condition arising when the body is deprived of oxygen, causing unconsciousness or death; suffocation. It can occur due to various factors, including airway obstruction, external pressure on the chest, or certain medical conditions. The lack of oxygen can lead to rapid cell damage, particularly in the brain, as it is highly sensitive to oxygen deprivation. Symptoms of asphyxia can range from mild to severe and may include shortness of breath, dizziness, confusion, cyanosis (bluish discoloration of the skin), and ultimately, loss of consciousness.
