Artistiryhmiä

Artistiryhmä (plural: artistiryhmiä) is a term used in Finnish to describe a cooperative or collective of artists who work together rather than as solo practitioners. Member artists can come from various disciplines, including visual arts, performance, sound, and literary practice. The common element is collaborative effort that produces works or projects beyond what any single member might realize alone, and often shared authorship.

Forms and aims: Groups can be informal or formally organized as associations or cooperatives. They may form to realize a specific project, to share studio space and equipment, to pool funding and grant writing, or to create alternative exhibition or publication platforms. Some groups emphasize critical or experimental practices, others focus on community engagement or education.
