Arkitekturmått

Arkitekturmått is a Swedish term referring to the set of standard measurements, proportions, and dimensioning practices used in architectural design to produce coherent, functional, and aesthetically consistent buildings. The concept encompasses scale—how a space relates to human size—as well as the sizing of rooms, corridors, doors, windows, stairs, and other components. Arkitekturmått combines ergonomic considerations, typological conventions, and construction practicality, providing a common language for architects, engineers, and builders.

In practice, arkitekturmått includes guidelines for modularity and repetition of dimensions, often based on a base unit or module. Such modularity supports efficient detailing, prefabrication, and cost control, while helping ensure accessibility and comfort.
