Arkeideida
Arkeideida is a taxonomic grouping used in micropaleontology to refer to a clade of very small marine single-celled eukaryotes known from fossil records. The exact systematic position of Arkeideida has been debated, with different authors placing it in varying parts of the eukaryote family tree. Some treat it as an order within Foraminifera, others as a subset of Radiolaria, and still others as an independent lineage within Retaria. Because of this, Arkeideida is best understood as a historical and taxonomic concept that has shifted with new discoveries and revising classifications.
