Antiseparationism

Antiseparationism is a political stance that opposes secession or the separation of a group of people from a larger entity, such as a state or nation. This opposition can stem from various philosophical, economic, or practical considerations.

Proponents of antiseparationism often emphasize national unity and the preservation of existing borders. They may argue that separation leads to instability, conflict, and economic disadvantage for all parties involved. Historically, maintaining territorial integrity has been a cornerstone of state sovereignty, and antiseparationist policies often reflect this principle.

Economically, antiseparationists might point to the benefits of a larger, unified market, including shared resources, infrastructure, and trade networks. Furthermore, some antiseparationist arguments are rooted in the idea of shared identity and cultural heritage within a nation.
