Anosy
Anosy is a province of Madagascar that existed from 2004 to 2018 when the country reorganised its administrative divisions. It encompassed the southern part of the island, comprising the present-day regions of Atsimo-Atsinanana, Androy, Anosy, and Atsimo-Andrefana. The provincial capital was Fort-Dauphin, now called Tôlanaro, a key port on the southeast coast. The area is characterised by a humid, tropical climate with distinct wet and dry seasons, supporting rich biodiversity that includes unique coral reefs and forest ecosystems.
