Anniviers

Anniviers is a municipality located in the Sierre district of the canton of Valais in Switzerland. It is situated in the Anniviers Valley, a southern side valley of the Rhone Valley. The municipality was formed in 2009 through the merger of the former municipalities of Ayer, Chandolin, Grimentz, Saint-Jean, Saint-Luc, and Zinal.

The Anniviers Valley is known for its stunning alpine scenery, including high mountain peaks, glaciers, and traditional villages. The main settlements within the municipality are Grimentz, known for its well-preserved wooden houses and alpine charm, and Zinal, a popular destination for winter sports and mountaineering.
