Andoque

Andoque, also known as Andoque-Siona or Wa'ka Siona, is an indigenous ethnic group native to the Amazon rainforest, primarily in the region bordering Colombia and Peru. They are part of the larger Panoan language family, and their traditional territory spans the banks of the Putumayo River and its tributaries. The Andoque people have a rich cultural heritage deeply intertwined with the natural environment, relying on the forest for sustenance, medicine, and spiritual practices.

Historically, the Andoque have maintained a semi-nomadic lifestyle, moving within their ancestral lands according to seasonal changes and resource availability. Their traditional economy is based on hunting, fishing, and the cultivation of small agricultural plots.
