Alpssuch

Alpssuch is a cross-border environmental monitoring program focused on the Alpine region. Established in 2005 by the Alpine Research Council, it coordinates research and conservation efforts across Austria, France, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. The program seeks to document changes in biodiversity, climate variables, hydrology, and land-use patterns and to translate findings into policy and conservation action.

Impact and reception note that Alpssuch has strengthened transnational research collaboration and improved consistency of alpine data. Some critiques point to uneven data contributions from different regions and challenges in harmonizing historic records.
