The term is often read as a compound of all- and umanità, implying either “universal humanity” or “illumination for all.” It functions as a heuristic for discussing global solidarity in the age of rapid technological change.

Origins and usage: Allumanità is not established in standard dictionaries and is found mainly in essays, policy briefs, speculative fiction, and NGO communications since the 2010s. In these contexts it is used to frame debates about education, digital inclusion, climate action, health, and AI ethics, foregrounding achievements and responsibilities that transcend national borders.
