Alienhesive is a fictional substance that first appeared in the 2008 video game "Dead Space." In the game's lore, Alienhesive is a bio-engineered adhesive developed by the Church of Unitology. Its primary function is to bind and manipulate organic matter. The substance is known for its potent ability to fuse living tissue, making it a crucial component in the creation of the Necromorphs, the primary antagonists of the "Dead Space" series.

The origins of Alienhesive are tied to the Unitologist's desire to achieve a form of resurrection or transcendence through the Marker, an alien artifact. They believed that by combining biological matter with this adhesive, they could create new forms of life or reunite the deceased with their loved ones in a transformed state. In practice, however, the process proved to be horrific, resulting in the grotesque and aggressive Necromorphs.

Alienhesive is depicted as a viscous, often bioluminescent, goo. It is capable of rapid growth and can spread across surfaces, engulfing and integrating any organic material it encounters. This property makes it a significant environmental hazard within the game's environments, often blocking pathways or forming dangerous traps.
