Alhálózat refers to a smaller, segmented portion of a larger computer network. This segmentation is typically achieved through the use of routers or switches. By dividing a network into smaller alhálózatok, administrators can improve performance, enhance security, and simplify network management.

One of the primary benefits of using alhálózatok is performance improvement. When a network is segmented, broadcast traffic, which is sent to all devices on a network, is contained within its specific alhálózat.
